My love for the country started when my family and I visited the ancient country two years ago. The geography of Greece is cut up into several islands, piercing cliffs, and raging seas. The first thing that drew me to Greece was the geography. Greece dominates southern Europe. Bordering the Aegean Sea, Ionian Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a peninsular country, possessing a group of about two thousand tiny islands. Greece is a chain of several small islands with massive mountain ranges spearing across the terrain only to be stopped by the surrounding seas. The piercing cliffs that seem to jet up over the seas are like a barrier or protector of the scattered peninsula. The rough and rocky terrain may be the result of the all too frequent and very severe earthquakes that have been striking the ancient country of Greece for thousands and thousands of years.
