Order your Iago is the whole reason paper at affordable prices! Iago is the whole reason there is any conflict in Othello . If he never had entered the play Othello would have married Desdimonia and they would have lived happily ever after. Right from the beginning of the play to the very end he causes conflicts. He is directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of Othello Desdimona, Emilia, Cassio, and Roderigo. Which happen to be all of the main characters. I believe Shakespeare didnt just want Iagos character to be evil. I think he wanted him more to symbolize it. All of the problems he causes are through lies, treachery, manipulation, and a deep unknown hate. Some of his hate is fueled by jealousy and revenge. The ironic part is that he wants to be known as honest Iago. Every act contains an evil plot set up by Iago. They all play into his grand scheme. In the very beginning of act 1 Iago displays his hatred for Othello. He is angry at him for making Cassio the lieutenant. Jealousy is his first motif. He than tells Roderigo (a former suitor of Desdimonia) that Othello and Desdimonia are getting married. The two of them then go and tell Desdimonias father, abantio that Othello and his daughter just got eloped. This infuriatesabantio.

Shakespeare does a very good job in showing what kind of person Iago is right from the beginning of the play. The reader begins to realize this before any of the characters in the play do. I believe he did this so the reader will begin to see how evil Iago is yet how unjustified his reasoning is.

As soon as everyone arrives in Cypress Iago puts his plan in effect. He gets Roderigo (his supposed friend) to believe that Cassio and Desdimonia are in love. This is a very significant part in showing Iagos evil. He gets Roderigo who has wronged absolutely no one to develop a hatred for Cassio who just happens to be a victim of circumstance.

Iagos sinister plan works too. He gets Cassio drunk than has Roderigo provoke a fight. Soon after Cassio stabs a man named Montano. Othello comes out and dismisses Cassio from lieutenancy.

Half of Iagos grand scheme has succeeded. However he still wants to be Lieutenant. He convinces Cassio to arrange a meeting to talk with Desdimonia About re-instating him as Lieutenant. Little does Cassio know why Iago really wants him to meet with Desdimonia. At the end of this act Cassio says I never knew a Florentine more kind and honest. Shakespeare wrote that line to show how innocent Cassio was and how evil Iago was.

Othello sees Cassio talk with Desdimonia and Iago comments on how that is suspicious. He than tells Othello not to feel jealous (which is the exact opposite of what he really wants him to feel). Desdimonia also drops a special kerchief given to her by Othello. Othello then confronts Iago because he believes that Iago knows more about Cassio and Desdimonias relationship. He threatens Iago with is life. Quickly Iago comes up with a story about how he heard Cassio talk in his sleep and wipe his beard with the special kerchief. Othello then vows to kill Desdimonia. Iago vows to kill Cassio, he is than appointed Lieutenant.

Order your FOOD paper at affordable prices! When recently asked to name my favorite food, I decided that it had to be Pho(Vietnamese noodle soup). A food that has an infinite variety of flavors and textures that Ive never got tired eating. Also not to mention that its also cheap, nutritious and good for all occasions.

Usually when my mom runs out of ideas to cook for a particular day, she would cook Pho. Everyone else in my family likes it but also the recipe is easy to cook.

This is the type of food that you could eat on a constant bases that isnt bad for you unlike most food. It contains all the four basic food groups that the body needs. I dont know if you know about the instant Chinese noodle(individual serving that is in fancy plastic wrapping) that you can get at any grocery store which taste pretty good bye the way and also cheap. Well, I heard from one of my friends that hes been eating it for a week and when he took a dump, it was green! I dont know about that but Im sure something nasty happened as a result.

Pho is also very cheap to buy when going out to any Vietnamese restaurant. I remember at one particular restaurant, for a medium size bowl would cost $5 dollars although you can get it cheaper for 50 cents if you go to Viet-Nam.

Essay service for your FOOD paper From plain vegetable that uses whats in the refrigerator to pretty elegant bowls prepared for guests, soup is fun to make and even more fun to eat when it is filled with interesting flavor like one of my favorites, Carrot and Jalapeno Soup. It is a favorite recipe for beginning a company meal and the leftovers are always welcome for lunch the next day. I like the light texture that comes from the pureed carrots that are the only thickening in this cream soup. If you prefer a lighter cream soup use light cream instead of the heavy cream. Adding the piquant jalapeno pepper along with the fresh flavor of the popular herb, cilantro, turns what could be a plain carrot soup into a culinary experience. Please put the amount of chile pepper that suits your palate, bearing in mind that the jalapeno chile is not terribly hot, scoring only a 5 on the scale of 10 that rates the spiciness of all chile peppers. If you have homemade chicken stock, it is always a welcome addition to soup, but feel free to use canned chickenoth. Enjoy!

Order your Descarte paper at affordable prices! In this essay, I propose to explain Descartes's system of methodic doubt. It will be necessary to look at his thoughts throughout his work in "The meditations". I will also show how Descartes subjected to doubt, all that could be possibly doubted, and arrived at the indubitable proposition: Cogito ergo sum, or I think, therefore I am. I will also explain how Descartes proceeded from this basis to prove the existence of God. Finally, I will conclude with how these two propositions together, for Descartes, established the certainty of human knowledge.

Descartes devised his system of methodic doubt in order to discover an indubitable belief, which he could use as a certain, and secure foundation as the basis for knowledge. For Descartes it was necessary to look inside himself at all the beliefs he once held as true, and subject them to the strongest of doubts. For the purpose of freeing himself from all preconceived opinions, he allowed himself to believe that all his past beliefs were false and imaginary, as he states in the first meditation: " So, for the purpose of rejecting all my opinions, it will be enough if I find in each of them at least some reason for doubt." (Cottingham 1984, p12). This provided Descartes with the easiest path by which to lead the mind away from the senses. In considering how far doubt can be extended, he begins by questioning his sense perception.

Descartes realises that everything that he has up till now accepted as true has been acquired either from the senses or through the senses. However there have been times when he has found that his senses can deceive, such as when objects may appear differently from various points of view, and that therefore it is highly probable that other things which appear certain through the senses may in reality be illusions. On further reflection, Descartes ponders the proposition of being asleep or awake. He wonders if this is something that cannot be doubted. However he soon realises that there have been times when he has been asleep and dreaming of the same experiences he had when awake. Descartes argues: "How often asleep at night, am I convinced of just such familiar events-that I am here in my dressing-gown, sitting by the fire-when in fact I am lying undressed in bed!" (Cottingham 1984, p13). Descartes comes to realise that dreaming and reality are so blurred that he cannot know if anything occurring is true or false and that therefore the external world may be an illusion. Descartes thus asserts that all the knowledge derived from the senses cannot be regarded as absolutely certain.

Descartes then considers the propositions of mathematics and the fact that a square has four sides and that two and three always makes five. This he perceives to be true whether he is asleep or awake and it appears that this cannot be doubted. On further consideration, however, Descartes considers the possibility that God may haveought it about that he just imagines these things are true, that God is making his mind incorrect when he adds two and three or counts the sides of a square. He further imagines that God is causing him to have sensations in his mind of the things he perceives around him. However when considering God as supremely good, Descartes finds it hard to believe that this supreme good being would deceive, therefore, Descartes invents the idea of an evil demon who is deceiving him, Descartes says of the evil demon: " I shall think that the sky, the air, the earth, colours, shapes, sounds and all external things are merely the delusions of dreams which he has devised to ensnare my judgment" (Cottingham 1984, p13). Descartes introduces this idea of the evil demon in order to prevent the return of the former beliefs previously called into doubt. Therefore at the end of the first meditation, Descartes is now in the position where he has put aside all his beliefs as not being fully certain. Thereafter within his second meditation he manages to limit the spread of doubtought about by the evil demon hypothesis.

Write a research paper on Descarte Eventually, after consideration of all the beliefs he has doubted and set aside, Descartes realises that there is one thing he is doing all the time, and that is using his mind to think. For Descartes, by the very procedure of imagining an evil demon and the fact that he is thinking, establishes that he exists. This becomes for him the one sure and certain proposition on which to base his knowledge. Descartes considering the evil demon deceiving him states: "In that case I too undoubtedly exist, if he is deceiving me, and let him deceive me as much as he can, he will nevering it about that I am nothing so long as I think I am something." (Cottingham 1984, p17). This forms the basis of Descartes belief in the certainty that if nothing else, he exists. The point here is that it is impossible to doubt the truth of this proposition, therefore for Descartes the entire context of human knowledge consists upon this single proposition: "Cogito ergo sum", or, I think therefore I am. Even if he is dreaming, or God or an evil demon is trying to deceive him, his clearest perception of himself is as a thinking thing.

Descartes affirms this thinking self by the fact that he has sense and imagination, he wonders if there is anything, which corresponds to all this activity, and that now that he is certain of his own existence, if there is anything else of which he can be certain. This is how Descartes leaves at the end of the second meditation. He then comes back to this problem at the beginning of the third meditation and when he reconsiders the idea of the evil demon, in his mind he looks around and finds an idea of God, a supreme being and he wonders how the idea got there. In considering the idea of God as eternal, infinite and omnipotent Descartes discovers: " All these attributes are such that, the more carefully I concentrate on them, the less possible it seems that they could have originated from me alone. So from what has been said it must be concluded that God necessarily exists" (Cottingham 1984, p31).

Descartes proceeds in his demonstration of the existence of God by analysing the nature of thought, for Descartes there are three kinds of ideas: ideas, which he invents, ideas, which appear to be, and ideas, which are innate. For Descartes the most important ideas are innate which he finds in his mind, he knows that he is not the cause of his own idea of God because he thinks that any idea of an infinite all-knowing God transcends his own mental ability. God, therefore, causes the idea of God in his mind as he says: "This idea of a supremely perfect and infinite being is, I say, true in the highest degree; for although perhaps one may imagine that such a being does not exist, it cannot be supposed that the idea of such a being represents something unreal" (Cottingham 1984, p31). He concludes that God of whom he has an idea must possess all the perfection of which he cannot. Here he is trying to establish a definite proof of the existence of God and he discovers within his conscious mind this second certain proposition, namely God, exists.

Finally, Descartes considers whether material things exist. For Descartes, God guarantees that all the stuff in his mind must come from the stuff outside his mind and because God is not deceitful, God is the guarantee that there is something corresponding to all that stuff, as Descartes affirms:

"Now, however, I have perceived that God exists, and at the same time I have understood that everything else depends on him, and he is no deceiver; and I have drawn the conclusion that everything which I clearly and distinctly perceive is of necessity true. (Cottingham 1984, p48).

It becomes clear that the foundation of knowledge for Descartes is not just the certainty "Cogito ergo sum" I think therefore I am. There is a second certainty, namely, that God exists. Together these two propositions, constitute for Descartes the foundation of all human knowledge, he goes on to say in the sixth meditation that now that he is certain that he himself exists, and certain that God exists, then it follows that there must be an external world, because within his mind he finds an idea of God and God wouldnt allow him to be deceived. Therefore everything he knows through the senses and through his reason really exists. Then he goes back through all the various beliefs, which he had previously doubted, and accepts that they are in fact trustworthy. This concludes the sixth a last meditation of Descartes method of establishing the certainty of human knowledge.

By Phillip Halcomb

German Measles (also know as Rubella) is a disease that is not very common any more, but before the 160s, outeaks occurred every six to nine years. It use to be that having German Measles was considered a milestone in your life, like having chicken pox is now.

Rubella is a viral infection that is caused by a simple microorganism or a complex molecule that has a protein coat that can only grow and spread in living things. When a group of these microorganisms or molecules get together they cause people to get sick by infecting their bodies. The microorganisms or molecules that can be spread from one person to another are considered contagious.

Rubella most of the time is a pretty mild illness but can be very bad. Most of the time the people who have Rubella complain about their glands behind their ears and back of their neck hurting, a rash and a slight fever. Sometimes young girls and women complain about their hand joints hurting. Rubella is the only disease where the glands in the neck swell. Sometimes when a baby has Rubella the only thing that happens is they get fussy and have a rash. The older you get the worse you get. When an older person gets Rubella they may not have a rash but they can have eye pain, sore throat, fever and body aches.

The virus that causes Rubella can be passed from one person to another by contact with the infected persons body fluid. Most of the time this happens by contact with saliva droplets that contain the virus. A person can spread their saliva droplets by coughing, sneezing, talking or sharing the same cup. A person that touches something that an infected person touched and then touches their eyes, nose or mouth before washing their hands can become infected. Also a pregnant woman can give it to her baby. When this happens the baby can be born with Congenital Rubella Syndrome or CRS. Some of the babies that are born with CRS have cataracts and other eye problems. They can also have hearing problems, heart problems and developmental problems.

Most of the time if you get Rubella you can be taken care of at home. A blood test at the doctors office will tell if you have Rubella. After the doctor tells you that you have German Measles then the doctor will tell you to go to bed, drink lots of fluids and take Tylenol for your fever and sore joints and throat. Your doctor will tell you not to take aspirin because it can cause you to become sick with another disease called Reyes Syndrome. A humidifier will help youeath better. If your eyes are sore or sensitive to light, then keeping the room dark will help. Most of all, stay home so that you do not expose anyone else to German Measles.

The number one prevention of Rubella is a vaccine that is part of our normal immunizations, or shots, that we get as kids. These shots started around 16, and since that time Rubella outeaks have decreased by %. Even though studies show that in 160 the number of cases were about 750,000 and in 170 the cases numbered 100,000, in 17 about 50,000 and in 10 only 10,000. All the studies show that the best way not to get Rubella is to get the shot, there are people who will not get it, or let their kids have it because they are scared that the shot will make them sick. Some people believe that the shot can cause a child to become retarded or to die in their sleep. Another reason that a person will not get the shot is because of religious beliefs that prevent them from getting any shots no matter what the studies show.

There is no cure for Rubella or any type of Measles. Scientists are working on one but have not discovered it yet. Maybe the cure will be found in the prevention of the disease.

Title The Cask of AmontilladoAuthor Edgar Allan Poe

About the Author Born in Boston January 1,180. Died October 7,184 in Baltimore.

Plot Summary In The Cask of Montillado Montressor leads his enemy, Fortunado into

his vaults to taste a rare, fine sherry. After luring Fortunado there Montressor chains

him up and then proceeds to build a wall and traps him in the vaults.

Characterization The story mentions many characters but the story is based on Montressor, the

diabolical narrator of the story.

Point of View Edgar Allen Poe writes this story from the perspective of Montressor who seeks revenge

agains Fortinato in an effort to support his time-honored family motto Nemo me impune lacessit

(No one can attack me without being punished) I dont think that Montressor was one that could be sympathized with.

I think we were to judge the character. The reader is invited into the sinister mind of a killer.

Setting The story begins at dusk during the carnival season in an unnamed European city. The location

changes from fun and laughter to at the carnival to dark and dreary courters.

Tone The tone is dark and dreary. Montressor seeks revenge on his enemy. Resulting in trickory and death.

Style This is a story about a premeditated murder. One quickly becomes awareof Montressors intentions.

You see that Montressor holds grudges and may not be a reliable narrator. Things are eggagerated terribly,

such as Montressors comment about the thousand injuries that he suffered at the hands of Fortunato...but

when Fortunato ventured upon insult, Montressor could stand no more and vowed revenge.

Montressor tried to convince the reader that he has honorable reasons and nothing but good intentions in

seeking revenge, trying to uphold his family motto. Nemo me impune lacessit. There are many examples of

irony in the story. The character says one thing and means another.

Theme The Cask of Montillado is a tale of revenge. The narrator Montressor seekd revenge upon Fortunato because

he insulted him. Montressor wants Fortunato to know what is happening to him. He gainds pleasure from the fact that

as Fortunato slowly dies, and sobers with terror realizing his opportunites of escape. Fortunato will also realize

that his love for wine has lead him to his death. There is no doubt that both Montressors plan of revenge and Poes story

are carefully crafted to reflect desire.

Symbolism The Amontillado was a symbol of the family motto that Montillado so desperately wanted to protect and honor.

The wine was a key symbol in this story. It showed pleasure and desire so quickly turned to misfortune and death.
